SPECIES Pseudochirulus larvatus

Author:Förster and Rothschild, 1911.
Citation:Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., ser. 6, 7: 337.
Common Name:Masked Ringtail
Type Locality:Papua New Guinea, Huon Peninsula, Rawlinson Mtns.
Distribution:NE New Guinea (Huon Peninsula and eastern part of Central Cordillera).
Status:Common.
Comments:Diagnostically distinct from SE forbesi, and separated by a sharp boundary between Wau and the Kratke Mtns (Flannery, 1994a; Musser and Sommer, 1992), which strongly suggests that larvatus is specifically distinct.
