Common Name:Stein’s Cuscus
Type Locality:Indonesia, Prov. of Papua (= Irian Jaya), Vogelkop, Sorong Div., Tamrau Range, Karons Mtns.
Distribution:Interior New Guinea, 1200-1500 m. (in western range, up to 2200 m.).
Status:IUCN – Vulnerable.
Comments:Formerly known as P. interpositus (see Flannery, 1990).
