Type Locality:Australia, Queensland, Darling Downs.
Distribution:Australia: NW New South Wales, W Queensland, S Northern Territory, N South Australia, N Western Australia.
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:S. macroura species-group. See Archer (1979:329, 1981:148). According to Blacket et al. (2001), this is probably a species complex rather than a single species, including froggatti and stalkeri.
