Jobs in Russia and the NISE

Most of the jobs for Russian-speakers listed here are in Russia, the NIS states, and East Europe; however, there are jobs in the US and Canada with companies operating in those areas. We will try to add some of those in the future.

• US Firms in Russia

  

  This is a searchable data base maintained at Bucknell of US firms with offices in Russia. Currently we only have the 400 companies of the 1994 US Embassy list, but we will be updating that list as we accumulate new data. You may search by name, service or product or you have browse the entire list alphabetically or as a whole (this takes a long time, however, since the list is long).

• The IREX Moscow Career Forum and Job Fair

  The International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) now administers an annual Career Forum and Job Fair in Moscow in September. This event, sponsored by the USIA, is open to graduates of university level U.S. government sponsored programs and independent graduates of U.S. universities.

• The Moscow Times Job Opportunities

  Go directly to the source: Moscow. The Times job opportunities list is one of the most up to date lists available. You can also list your qualifications in their jobs column to increase your chances. Everyone who speaks English subscribes to the Times in Moscow.

• St. Petersburg Times Job Opportunities

  The St. Petersburg Times maintains a searchable archive of job opportunities announced in its pages. It includes offerings at Russian, European and US companies.

• The American Chamber of Commerce in Russia

  You know it is a large and important business market when it becomes necessary for the American Chamber of Commerce to open an office in Moscow. This site provides information about living and doing business in Russia as well as business up-dates.

• AATSEEL Job Index

  Devin Brown of the University of Pittsburgh maintains a current list of some of the jobs available in Russia for the American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages.

• Jobs in Russia and Eastern Europe at Escape Artist

  A serious source of job market and business news along with links to job listings.

• Business, Employment, Jobs in Russia and the CIS

  This is a rich link farm to many sites which carry job listings for companies doing business in Russia and the NIS.

• Bob's List of Job Search Resources

  This link farm to job notice sites is located at Indiana University. There is considerable overlap with other sites but some original ones, too.

• The Civic Education Project

  Yale University has also just opened up a jobs listing which, no doubt, will grow with time. Of course, the vast majority are advertised only over there.

• Russian International Job Agency

  This site is mostly for Russians but there are international jobs listed, too. All require a knowledge of Russian.
