Video example
#1, Lecture 7: You bounce two superballs together, with a 10 g ball
on top of a 30 g ball. Assume that just before they hit the ground,
they are moving with a speed 2 m/s downward. The large ball hits the
ground first, and bounces upward with a velocity 2 m/s upward and collides
with the small one that is still going downward at a speed of 2 m/s.
Assuming an elastic collision, how fast is the small ball going after
the collision? |
