The Green Committee continues its focus on improving the course. Various sub­committees have been formed to analyze and provide recommendations to the committee as a whole. These recommendations are then considered in terms of Budget and Priority and projects are recommended to the Board for approval.

The committee also has overseen the creation of the Tree Management Policy and Bunker Maintenance Policy. The committee has solicited input from architects in consideration of establishing a Master Plan.

 

The following projects have been approved by the Committee and or Board and arc in the process of being completed.

 

Install drainage behind #9 green.

Install drainage on East side of #3 fairway inside I5O yards.

Install drainage on # 11 .

Prepare the soil and plant decorative grass on border of parking area with #3.

Complete stump removal and dress and seed areas where trees have been taken out. Continue to topdress fairway #5 in "turf burn" area.

Continue to topdress fairway #6 where there has been settling of drainage trenches. Install cart path on #7

Dress area when selected trees behind #17 green on taken out.

Dress cart path border on # 12.

Prepare course for US Open Qualifier.

Continue experimental application of sand on 14 fairway for worm cast control.

 

This past year has been a productive one with numerous improvements to the course. They include the cart path on #12, tree removal on #1. #13,#14, and #17, the conversion and expansion of the tee on #15, drainage work on #14, head wall on #13, and extensive plantings and design work on #13 hillside. All of the construction was completed by our grounds crew and supervised by Charlie Lincicome, Superintendent.
