School day
The school day is instruction time under the direction of certificated
school employes. Based on a school term of 180 days, the minimum
hours of instruction per day are 2.5 for kindergarten, 5.0 for
first through sixth grades, and 5.5 for seventh through twelfth
grades. Minimum required hours of instruction are specified in
22 Pa Code §11.3.
