Home education program
The School Code in 24 PS § 13-1327.1 provides for a home education program in which parents, guardians and legal custodians ("supervisors) are permitted to conduct home education programs for their children in accordance with the statute. A supervisor must have a high school diploma or its equivalent. The supervisor must file a notarized affidavit with the superintendent of the school district of residence that complies with the requirement of the statute. The home education program must meet the instructional time and curricular requirements specified in the statute and the supervisor must provide and maintain on file the documentation required by the statute.
