Formal hearing
A student is entitled to a formal hearing in any case that involves a possible expulsion. The formal hearing is held before the board of school directors or a duly authorized committee of the board or a qualified hearing examiner. The due process requirements of the formal hearing are presented in 22 PA Code § 12.8(b)(1).
