In 1968, the Administration Center was named Marts Hall in honor of Dr. Arnaud C. Marts, President from 1938 to 1945.

In 1981, all University Relations' offices were moved to Cooley Hall; the Finance Office, the Registrar's Office, and the Treasurer's Office were relocated; and the Department of History was located on the second floor. In 1983, Residential Life and Stud ent Life moved from Marts Hall to the newly constructed University Center, and the space was occupied by Japanese Studies, the Summer School office, and Graduate Studies. The offices of the President, most of the Vice-Presidents, and the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences were located in this building.

In 1985, the College of Business Administration no longer existed, and the Management Department and the Economics Department were incorporated into the College of Arts and Sciences. The College of Arts and Sciences offered the following degrees: Bachelor of Arts with twenty-five majors; Bachelor of Science (Animal Behavior, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Mathematics, and Physics); Bachelor of Science in Business Administration; Bachelor of Science in Education; and Bachelor of Music.

Twenty-six hundred undergraduate students were enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences, of whom 1,407 (54%) were women. Of the students enrolled in the College, 419 (13%) were enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree program. Of these candidates for the BSBA degree, 197 (47%) were women. Eighty-one percent of the undergraduate student enrollment was in the College of Arts and Sciences.
