wimming Pool
In 1965, Bucknell swimmers won the MAC Championship under the direction of Coach Bob Latour. There was only a male varsity team, although women could join the Synchronettes, which was a student organization that performed synchronized swimming routines.. In 1965, the pool also was used for recreational and educational purposes. In fact, all students were required to pass a swimming test before they could graduate from the university, and many freshman, who had flunked the test, took swimming as a part of the required courses in physical education.
