1965 Freshman Women |
![]() | |
In the early to mid-1960's all members of the freshman class were required to wear dinks and signs for a period of time at the beginning of the fall semester. They could be stopped by sophomores and be required to perform various tasks, including singing the Alma Mater. Here a group of freshman women are dancing to the direction of an upperclassman as they are watched by other upperclass students. Note the dinks on their heads and the signs, which were hung around their necks. The student's name and residence hall was usually on the sign as well as other things. Hunt Hall is visible to the right in the photograph. |
