1965 Power Plant
In 1948-49, the new Heat and Power Plant was constructed, using $600,000.00 contributed by Alumni. In 1950, laundry operations were begun, and in 1955, the Food Storage unit, the Milk Processing Plant and three stor age rooms were completed. Extensive changes were made in 1961, and a third boiler unit was installed in 1962. In 1964-65, a second floor was added to the Food Storage unit to house the new automatic telephone switching equipment.
