1965 New Women's Dormitory
In 1965, the New Women's Dormitory was built across a section of South Sixth Street on what was once the Women's Campus quadrangle. It is a four-story building of Georgian Colonial architecture constructed at a cost of $1,800,000.00. The air-conditioned dormitory housed 316 upperclass women in eighteen individual living units. Each unit had a study lounge and utility room. The center section contained parlors, a formal living room, a reception room, a TV lounge, and study and meeting rooms.
