Building
In 1955, the Chemistry and Physics departments moved to the Olin Science building and the Music and Art departments moved into the former Chemical Laboratory from Carey (Wolfe) House. In the summer, the building became the Music and Art Bu ilding. The building was remodeled at a cost of $68,620.87.

In 1965, the facilities for the Department of Music included a large lecture-recital room, an orchestra-rehearsal room, a library, a listening room, classrooms, studios, offices and practice rooms. Offices for members of the Art Department and art studios were located on the second floor.
