During the 1909-1910 Academic Year, the three Goehring brothers from Zelienople, Pennsylvania, lived in Room No. 25 in the East Wing of Old Main. They were, from left to right in this photograph, Raymond Russell Goehring, Howard Marshall Goehring, and William Alfred Goehring, Jr. Raymond and Howard were members of the Class of 1913 and William was a member of the Class of 1912. Because of the financial strain of paying for three members of the family to attend the university, Raymond left Bucknell in 1910 to work. He later graduated from Wittenberg College, Springfield, Ohio in 1916 and received a LL.B from Harvard University in 1923. Howard and William continued their studies at the university and continued to share a room for the remaining two years that both were enrolled at Bucknell. For the 1910-1911 Academic Year, they continued to live in No. 25 in the East Wing of Old Main, but during the 1911-1912 Academic Year they lived in No. 78 West College. William received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1912 and Howard received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree in 1913.

Most dormitory rooms in Old Main were occupied by a single student who shared a study with another student. Number 25 East Wing, however, was a large corner room that was shared by two students. Freshmen lived there in 1895 and 1915. In both 1895 and 1915 almost all the double rooms in Old Main were located in the East Wing.

David Goehring of the Union County Historical Society provided this photograph. He is the son of Raymond Goehring.
