1895 Pi Beta Phi Fraternity
There was one female "fraternity" at Bucknell University, Pi Beta Phi, which had been established October 9, 1888. Eliza Bell, who was a 1894 graduate of Bucknell University and who taught History and English in the Female Institute, is in the left foreground with her head tilted toward the greek letters. Kate Irene McLaughlin, who received a Bachelors of Arts degree in 1895, is third from the left in the second row.
