Student researchers from the Bucknell Institute for Public Policy summer research program swept the awards in the Social Sciences and Humanities division of the sixth annual Susquehanna Valley Undergraduate Research Symposium.
While the news about this year’s election has been dominated by discussions about the personalities of the candidates for president, the election of officials at all levels will have important implications for the formation of policy. To educate our students and community, Faculty Fellow Professor Christopher Ellis (political science) has organized a series of election-related events including lectures, faculty panels and election return parties.
This past summer, the Institute piloted a survey about public attitudes and policy views as part of a proposal to establish a survey center at Bucknell. This fall, Bucknell students will work with faculty in analyzing the results of this survey.
