Liquid-Liquid Extraction

Some technical WRITING points.

do not use "I"

use the passive voice (despite what the grammar checker says)

NOT "I poured the solution into the separatory funnel"

BUT "The solution was poured into the separatory funnel"

keep the same verb tense throughout; in scientific writing the past tense is preferred

try to make your writing "style" not so chatty, more professional
