Type Locality:Not given. Fixed by Gray (1843:48) as "Sumatra" [Indonesia].
Distribution:Cambodia, Indonesia (Sumatra, Rhio-Lingga Arch., Bangka Isl, Borneo, Karimata Isl, Sulawesi, Amboina), Malaysia, Philippines, and Thailand. Introduced throughout the Moluccas.
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
