Common Name:Large-spotted Civet
Type Locality:"vicinity of Prome" [Burma, Prome (= Pye) 18°49'N, 95°13'E].
Distribution:Burma, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia (West), Thailand, Vietnam.
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Does not include V. civettina; reviewed by Lindsay (1928), Pocock (1941a), and Wozencraft (1989b). Corbet and Hill (1992) raised doubts as to their separation.
