Distribution:S Baja California (Mexico).
Status:IUCN 2003 and IUCN/SSC Action Plan (2001) – Vulnerable.
Comments:Listed as a subspecies of velifer by Hall and Kelson (1959), but see Hayward (1970) and Hall (1981). See Alvarez-Castañeda and Bogan (1998).
