Helgen, pers. comm.). | Status: | Described after completion of IUCN/SSC Action Plan (1992); IUCN 2003 – not evaluated. | Comments: | cephalotes species group. Originally described as a subspecies of albiventer, but recognized as a distinct species by Kitchener et al. (1995c) and Bergmans (2001). Revised by Bergmans (2001). |
