Karyotype of a specimen from Taiwan determined as 2n = 32, FN = 58 (Lin et al., 2002a). The status of the mainland (latouchei) and Hainan (hainana) populations still has to be determined (Abe, 1995). Skulls of latouchei are smaller than in insularis. |
