Common Name:Nelson's Small-eared Shrew
Type Locality:Mexico, Veracruz, Volcán Tuxtla, 4800 ft. (1460 m).
Distribution:Known only from type locality.
Comments:C. mexicana group. Included in mexicana by Choate (1970) and Hall (1981), but given species rank by Woodman and Timm (1999).
