Common Name:Peninsular Shrew
Type Locality:Thailand, Koh Samui.
Distribution:Malay Peninsula and some adjacent islands (Koh Samui, Pulau Tioman, Pulau Mapor).
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Formerly included in C. fuliginosa, but given species rank by Ruedi (1995). Karyotype (2n = 38, FN = 62) described by Ruedi and Vogel (1995). May be sympatric with C. malayana in some areas.
