Common Name:Thick-tailed Shrew
Type Locality:Indonesia, W Java.
Distribution:Java and Bali.
Comments:Formerly included in C. fuliginosa (see Jenkins, 1982). Revised by Ruedi (1995), who considered brunnea and pudjonica as distinct subspecies. Bali records by Kitchener et al. (1994a). Karyotype has 2n = 38, FN = 56 (Ruedi and Vogel, 1995).
