Common Name:Omilteme Cottontail
Type Locality:"Omilteme, Guerrero," [Mexico].
Distribution:Appears restricted to Sierra Madre del Sur, C Guerrero (Mexico) between 2300-5280 ft. (701-1609 m) elevation.
Status:IUCN – Critically Endangered; known from fewer than 10 records.
Comments:Subgenus Tapeti (Gureev, 1964:164), or Sylvilagus (Hershkovitz, 1950:335). Reviewed by Cervantes and Lorenzo (1997, Mammalian Species, 568).
