Common Name:Sardinian Pika
Type Locality:Italy, Sardinia.
Distribution:Mediterranean Isles of Corsica (France) and Sardinia (Italy); adjacent small islands.
Status:IUCN – Extinct.
Comments:Described from fossils, but apparently survived until historic times (Vigne, 1983), perhaps as late as 1774 (Kurtén, 1968). Reviewed by Dawson (1969).
