Type Locality:Colombia, Cundinamarca Dept., Bogotá Region, 8750 ft (2667 m).
Distribution:Andes of C Colombia and adjacent W Venezuela (see Linares, 1998:Fig. 149).
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Chromosomal, mensural, and ecological discrimination from T. niveipes in Colombia presented by Gómez-Laverde et al. (1997); karyotypic formula for Venezuelan populations reported by Aguilera et al. (2000).
