Type Locality:El Salvador, San Miguel Dept., Finca San Felipe, Cerro Cacaguatique, 3500 ft (1067 m).
Distribution:Highlands of S México (Chiapas), Guatemala, and El Salvador.
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Of two named subspecies, Voss (1988) retained stirtoni as valid in addition to the nominate form.
