Morphological, karyological, and molecular differentiation from N. minutus and N. musseri presented by Patton et al. (2000). Lawrence (1941) recognized the nominate form and carceleni as subspecies, a division supported by the limited samples genetically analyzed by Patton et al. (2000). Known sympatrically with N. minutus and N. musseri. |
