Common Name:Pallid Pygmy Jerboa
Type Locality:Kazakhstan, Aktyubinskaya, Chelkarskii, Peski Bol'shiye Barsuki.
Distribution:Deserts of N Aral and S Balkhash regions (see Shenbrot et al., 1995).
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Subgenus Prosalpingotus. Shenbrot and Mazin (1989) named sludskii as a subspecies of S. pallidus, but we are not recognizing subspecies. Reviewed by Shenbrot et al. (1995).
