Common Name:Guayaquil Squirrel
Type Locality:Peru, Piura Dept., Omatope.
Distribution:Extreme SW Peru and SW Ecuador in the area surrounding the Gulf of Guayaquil.
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Subgenus Guerlinguetus; see Cabrera (1961:373).
