Type Locality:Surinam.
Distribution:Brazil, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname, and Venezuela.
Status:IUCN Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Subgenus Guerlinguetus; see Cabrera (1961:359). Formerly included gilvigularis; see Avila-Pires (1964). Subspecies recognized based on Cabrera (1961).
