Common Name:Moor Macaque
Type Locality:Indonesia, Sulawesi Selatan.
Distribution:S Sulawesi, south of Tempe Depression (Indonesia).
Status:CITES – Appendix II; IUCN – Endangered.
Comments:M. nemestrina species group. Type species of Gymnopyga; see Fooden (1969:79). Included in nigra by Corbet and Hill (1980:87).
