Type Locality:Brazil, Bahia, Morro d’Arara or Fazenda Arara.
Distribution:E Brazil, between Rio Mucuri and Rio Itapicuru.
Status:CITES – Appendix II; IUCN – Vulnerable.
Comments:Subgenus Callicebus. C. personatus species group. Regarded as full species, separate from C. personatus, by Kobayashi and Langguth (1999).
