Type Locality:Brazil, eastern margin of Lago de Téfé (Hershkovitz, 1977; further refined by Groves, 2001c:143).
Distribution:W Brazil, east of Rio Téfé, west of Rio Purus.
Status:CITES – Appendix II.
Comments:S. mystax species group. See Hershkovitz (1977:700). Separated from S. mystax by Groves (2001c:143-4).
