Common Name:Black-tufted Marmoset
Type Locality:Brazil, Lamarão, Bahia.
Distribution:Brazilian coast: Bahia to São Paulo, inland to Goiás.
Status:CITES – Appendix II; IUCN – Least Concern.
Comments:Subgenus Callithrix. Accepted as a species by Mittermeier et al. (1988) and Groves (1989, 2001c).
