Type Locality:"America australi;" restricted to Surinam by Thomas (1911a).
Distribution:México (Veracruz and Oaxaca) to Colombia and west of Andes to S Ecuador, east of Andes to Venezuela, Trinidad, Guyana, Surinam, French Guiana, and S Colombia and Venezuela, south to Bolivia (La Paz and Santa Cruz) and Brazil (Acre east to Alagoas).
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
