Common Name:Giant Bandicoot
Type Locality:Papua New Guinea, Central Prov., banks of Goldie River (a tributary of the Laloki River) inland from Port Moresby.
Distribution:SE New Guinea, probably lowlands.
Status:IUCN – Data Deficient. Rare.
Comments:Included in raffrayana by Laurie and Hill (1954:10), but considered a distinct species by Van Deusen and Jones (1967:74).
