Common Name:Derby’s Woolly Opossum
Type Locality:None given; restricted to Colombia, Cauca, Cauca Valley (Cabrera, 1958:2).
Distribution:Mexico, Central America, W Colombia, and W Ecuador.
Status:IUCN – Vulnerable.
Comments:Subgenus Mallodelphys. Reviewed by Bucher and Hoffmann (1980, Mammalian Species, 140). The name pulcher Matschie is based on a zoo specimen of unknown origin.
