Groves (1969a) included thomsonii in Gazella cuvieri; but Gentry (1972:88, 90-91) gave reasons for rejecting this classification. Groves (1985a, 1988) and Rebholz and Harley (1999) included thomsonii in E. rufifrons but Gentry (1964) presented evidence to show they are distinct. |
