Common Name:American Mink
Type Locality:"Man findet das Vison in Canada un Pensilvanien". Larivière (1999c) listed type locality as "Eastern Canada".
Distribution:Canada, USA (Alaska and through all of USA except SW deserts). Introduced to Belarus, Belgium, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britian, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan (Hokkaido), Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden.
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc) as Mustela vision (sic).
Comments:Synonyms allocated according to Hall (1981) and Larivière (1999).
