Distribution:Canada, USA (C Utah and SW Colorado, NE Nebraska, S Indiana, and West Virginia).
Status:CITES – Appendix II; U.S. ESA – Threatened; IUCN – Least Concern.
Comments:Considered distinct from L. lynx by Kurtén and Anderson (1980), Matyushkin (1979), Werdelin (1981), and García-Perea (1992). Reviewed in part by Tumlison (1987) as Felis lynx.
