Type Locality:Japan, Honshu, Enoshima (Yenosima), at mouth of Bay of Yeddo.
Distribution:Montane forests of Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu (Japan).
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc) as Urotricus pilirostris.
Comments:Often included in Urotrichus; see under genus.
