Type Locality:SE Turkey, "environs d'Akbès, sur les confins de la Syrie et de l'Asie Mineure" = Meydanekbez, SW Gaziantep.
Distribution:SE Turkey, NW Iran.
Status:IUCN – Critically Endangered as Talpa streeti.
Comments:Includes Talpa streeti, as already suggested by Grulich (1982). Kryštufek et al. (2001) revised the species, discussed the morphological variation, and mapped all known localities.
