Common Name:Marcano's Solenodon
Type Locality:Dominican Republic, San Rafael Prov., Hondo Valle Mun.; unnamed cave 2 km SW of Rancho La Guardia.
Distribution:Known from three Quaternary localities in S Haítí and one Pleistocene site in W Dominican Republic (Ottenwalder, 2001:318).
Status:IUCN – Extinct.
Comments:Originally described in genus Antillogale by Patterson (1962). Reviewed by Ottenwalder (2001).
