Common Name:Northern Palm Squirrel
Type Locality:"Mandvi Taluka of Surat District," Guzerath (= Gudjerat), India.
Distribution:SE Iran through Pakistan to Nepal and N and C India. Perhaps adjacent Afghanistan. Introduced to Andaman Isls and vicinity of Perth in Western Australia.
Status:IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Comments:Subgenus Prasadsciurus (Moore and Tate, 1965:71). Reviewed by Agrawal and Chakraborty (1979), and Corbet and Hill (1992).
