Ognev (1966:268) proposed restriction to "central Sweden," but the species does not occur there (Sulkava, 1978:76). | Distribution: | Palearctic taiga, from N Finland east to Chukotka (Russia); south to E Baltic shore; S Ural Mtns, Altai Mtns (Russia), Mongolia; N China; Korea; Sakhalin Isl (Russia), and Hokkaido (Japan); perhaps mtns of W China. | Status: | IUCN – Lower Risk (nt). | Comments: | Chromosomes described by Rausch and Rausch (1982), and Oshida et al.
